ACS (http://portal.acs.org/portal/acs/corg/content), the worlds’ largest science society, organizes science conferences and is a leading publisher of scientific journals including Environmental Science & Technology (http://pubs.acs.org/journal/esthag), a key journal in the environmental science field.

The Society for Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (http://www.setac.org/) (SETAC) is for professionals engaged in environmental science including the analysis of fate and effects of chemicals on the environment, including, ecosystems, wildlife, and humans.  SETAC holds annual science conferences in North America, Europe, and Asia and publishes a major environmental science journal, Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (http://www.setacjournals.org/view/0/index.html).

The Society for Toxicology (http://toxicology.org/) (SOT) comprehensively encompasses the study of the effects of natural and manmade substances, including environmental chemicals, on human health.  SOT holds a large annual science conference in North America and publishes a major science journal, Toxicological Sciences (http://toxsci.oxfordjournals.org/).
